Clay Pot Snowmen
These clay pot snow men make great winter crafts.
Materials
· 3 inch clay pot
· 2 inch wooden bead
· buttons
· white and black acrylic paint
· 2 socks
· Scissors
· glue or hot glue
· small amount of fiberfill
Instructions
· Paint the bead and pot white, let dry completely.
· Set the pot upside down, then glue the bead to the bottom of the pot.
· Cut a two-inch length (approximately) from the elastic cuff of the childs sock, then trim the edges of it, making it ragged about 1/2 inch down. Add a rubber band to form a tassel. Fill the rest with a bit of fiberfill, then glue to the top of the wooden bead. This is your snowman’s head.
· Using black acrylic paint, paint on “coal� eyes.
· Cut a one inch length from the sock below the elastic, then cut the tube to form a single strand of the knit material. Fold in half and glue around the snow mans neck (This will be the snowman’s scarf.)
· Glue two buttons to the front of the pot, or the snowman’s body.
· Glue the ends of the scarf and to the pot in the front and back.
